I can tell you, I'm not.

It was a grand experiment. ,-) But I'm going back to how it was before... No Comments. I should have stayed there, but I just *had* to try for Comments again. -head desk- -head desk- -head desk-

Between the drama, and the fact that getting comments gets like eating peanuts. Have 1 peanut and you want 3 more. Get 1 comment and you want 3 tomorrow. Didn't get comments? OK, how many Site Visits did I get? More? Less? If less, what did I give 'em yesterday, that brought lots of Visits? I should try to give 'em that today... To get more Visits. Yish.....

But one thing I learned yet again, is that controversy ups Visits. Humans love controversy. They come to check it out, like flies to honey. If anyone wants to get more blog traffic, have controversy! It's a sure winner. Well, not an all round winner. :-( But for upping blog traffic, it is. ,-)

But blogging can become work. Become chasing my tail. Having to be vetting comments, and commenting in other blogs and etc.

Why should blogging be WORK?!?

Gee, I thought I'd established the answer to that question, back in the beginning of Sept. And the answer was... No, blogging should not be work! A resounding NO, in fact.

To me, blogging should be fun, for me. I enjoyed my original blog, being a warm, cozy, pretty place of refuge. I enjoyed letting this blog, be for letting off steam and getting some things off my chest. Lest I explode from being warm, cozy, pretty, happy, over in my original blog, all the time. Eeeeeek! Too much of that warm, cozy, pretty, happy can grate on me, after a while!!! >,-)

So, so, so..... I will keep my original blog as a warm, cozy, pretty, happy place. For me, and for anyone who wants to stop by. And no comments, as it has stayed.

And I will keep this blog, as a place for me to let off steam. :-) And if anyone wants to stop by here, they can do so. If anyone likes the links I put here, they can come and find them. If they don't, they don't have to come by. And no comments here, again.

How *brilliant* of me to have come back around to that conclusion. LOL!!! If I keep this *brilliance* up, I might even be saying Wheeeeeeeee again, about my blogging!!!!

And I can go back to not spending so much time on the Net. And back to leisurely visiting in other's blogs. Without feeling I have to comment. All of which was part of my Sept. decision, about not having comments in my blogs. To take a whole lot of pressure off of myself. Duhhhhhh me.

So thanks for the comments. I do appreciate them. And please don't anyone feel hurt that I took comments off. 'Tis a continuation of the "Brave New Blogging World" that I decided on for myself, at the beginning of September.

And just think ~~ with more free time, I can look for more sites to link to, here!!! >,-)

Feel that cold shiver running down your spine? It's your Rights being stripped away. It's the "Politically Correct Police" smacking their lips at their coming ability to silence anyone who "offends" anyone else. Ya' know... Like in the UK, where the BBC reported Sharia law in UK is 'unavoidable'. Like in Europe, where they loved 'The One.'

Then there's the issue of how Secularism has been attacking things like the display of the Christmas Tree, and the creche, and the like, at Christmas time. And getting stores to advise their clerks to say 'Happy Holidays' instead of mentioning Christmas. Because it might "offend" some customers, to be wished 'Merry Christmas.'

See that? Might "offend" some people.

Christians who are in love with O. and the Liberal Democrats, now... Wait until Christmas Time... Ooooops! Make that Holiday Time, 2009. See how many public displays of Christmas Trees or creches you'll find. After all, they might "offend" some people.

By then, it may be the Law of The Land... That no one be "offended" thus.

And then - Will anyone remember a little voice, saying this?

Because maybe by then, no little voice will be allowed to say this. You'll just have to remember back to when it wasn't an "Offensive Crime" to say this. Pre Political Correctness. Pre the take over of the Liberal Democrats. Pre the stacking of the Supreme Court, with Liberals.

Only be able to remember, back when you still had time to open your eyes, to the possibility of all these things coming to pass.

Spring? Spring? Spring?

Finally... Most any entry will do, here. I'm tired of my last entry, greeting people who happen by here. Yes, I meant it when I wrote it. But now, I'm more wishing to hope for the coming of spring.

Nothing I can do, about 'the world' in general. Well, nothing I can do, about the coming of spring either. But... Still... It's a bit more uplifting a topic.

That is, if it would ever come. Hardly any green things to be found yet, around these parts. Some daffodil bulbs, poking their first leaves up through the ground. With this coming week's temps in the 60'sF, maybe something else will get the courage to bud, etc. Maybe... Maybe...

Time, at Holiday Time

Are our Holidays supposed to be, like the old fashioned photo, at the left? Wouldn't it be nice if they could be? But, that's pie-in-the-sky dreaming. No one's Holiday Time is as quietly lovely as that. Oh well....

But unless we want ours to be a 'horror,' we have to grab the reins. Presents have to gotten and wrapped, no matter how I wish for less of them. Less is not going to happen, this year. Get over it. Get the present 'thing' done and out of the way and grab my own peace, that way.

But.... And there's always a 'but.' If one adds activities, one has to subtract some others. We don't get more than the usual 24 hours, just because we want/need to do more stuff. S0000 - what has to 'give'?

With me, it's my Net Life. Cutting back on it some, that is. I already spend too much time on the Net, 24/7. Yes it's fun. But yes, it can get less so, at times too. No question, at this time of year... Something has to cut back and that something is my Net Life Time. -sigh- This is always bitter-sweet for me. Yes, more freedom feels good. Especially when there are necessary things to fill the free time. But I'm always torn, when triaging Net Time.

So ~ I'm always that way. Live with it! :-) But learn to do it gracefully or not, I have to do it.

Carp diem!!!

Yesterday I went to the wake of a 41 year old wife, mother and daughter of a friend of mine. And had been to the wake of this friend's sister, only a few weeks ago. But her sister was in my H.S. class and had lived life. Whereas this woman was so very young. This wake, was much harder. So much harder.

I am sorry for her husband, daughter and all her extended family. But I feel the most for her mother. Such nice people. So many heartaches. More than just these two... And yet she goes on. My heart just aches for her.

What I take from all deaths, is the desire to live my life fully. And what I take from this kind of pain to a nice family, is... there is no one "up there," watching over us. Or giving us rules. Or having a happy or a painful place waiting for us after death, depending on how we follow "the rules." Perhaps a Creator 'banged the big bang.' But if so, our huge Universe was then forgotten. And left to evolve on its own, in whatever way happened.

And we tiny little beings, who evolved on this one tiny speck of a planet, in the huge Universe, we are of no interest to this Creator. {If there was one.} And there are many reasons to see glitches in the work of such a Creator, even though everything is quite amazing, at first glance.

Anyway, for me and people like me, this belief is actually more easy to live with, than all the so-called-comfort, derived by people of faith. I don't have to see myself as "fallen." Or see the Earth as just a short stop, while waiting to die and go to some paradise. I can see the Earth as it is. Full of wonder, but not perfect. And that's just the way it is! No need for reasons for this or for that. No supposed "revealed rules" to follow. I'm able to use my own mind to figure out how to live my life.

If people need/receive true comfort from their religious beliefs, then good for them. I do not ask them to stop, so doing. What I do ask... Is that they do not preach their views to me. That they live their life. And let me live mine.
