"Question"~~~~~~
Empathy... --noun
The intellectual identification with or vicarious experiencing of the feelings, thoughts, or attitudes of another.
~~~~~~
Feeling how others feel... This at least, sounds good. On the matter of attitudes though, seems we ought listen to others, but form our own attitudes. But that feeling and understanding others, sounds like a good thing to have plenty of. After all, no one wants to be thought of as a "hard hearted Hannah" {unless you're from old Savannah} .-). And paying no attention to anyone or anything, but one's own world of experience and feelings, isn't usually thought of as being the best of human traits.
But can one have too much empathy? Especially for the sorrows of others? Can it become hard to put aside? Hard to enjoy one's own life's joys, for dwelling on the sorrows of others?
